Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain manual test cases, suites, and scripts for tourism e-commerce platforms
Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing with focus on tourism-specific features (booking systems, inventory management, dynamic pricing).
Identify, document, and prioritize defects using tools like JIRA.
Advocate for best practices in QA methodologies, including workflows and tools to enhance efficiency while maintaining cultural and regional accuracy.
Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX designers to define requirements and validate features for both global and China markets
Maintain detailed test plans, reports, and metrics for stakeholders.
Requirements:
Minimum of a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or an equivalent qualification.
Minimum 2 years of experience in responsive web and mobile web testing, mobile app testing and API testing.
Basic understanding on how agile / scrum methodology work in the team.
Proficient in tools, methods, and quality assurance concepts.
Strong grasp of the defect lifecycle.
Capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and ability to multi-tasks.
Must have hands on experience on Jira, and familiar with Microsoft Excel or similar tools
English and Mandarin Chinese proficiency is highly desirable
Experience with Chinese-specific technologies and platforms (WeChat, Tencent, Alipay, etc)
Advantageous:
Understanding of localization requirement of Mandarin market (language, cultural nuances, payment systems) "We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers."
Familiar with cross-border e-commerce challenges.
Exposure to both manual and automated testing.
Experience with tourism or travel related software is a significant advantage.
Experience with tools like Selenium, JMeter or Postman.
Experienced in handle UAT test cycle with users is a plus.
